Goebbels arrives, sees her distress and promises to take care of her former dresser. Zarah becomes truly afraid. She promises to do everything he asks as long as he does not take Judith away. The Propaganda Minister asks her to become a German citizen. Zarah bravely attempts to mask her fear and performs a dance macabre with Goebbels.
